First I just wanted to say that I saw Lisa creating that gorgeous page, 'Little Miss Sunshine' and it really is a great page! So much dimension and texture; which is a bit hard to see from her picture, but she did a fabulous job on it!
When Sonja asked us to create using punches, I got very excited! I love punches and have a pretty nice collection of various shapes and sizes. I use them all the time too, mine don't get dusty.
For my page I used 3 different sized circle punches- 5/8, 1-1/4, 1-3/8, and 3 different sized star punches, these I don't have sizes for. The bigger stars are from Stampin Up and smallest star is from EK Success; same makers of my circle punches.
At the bottom of the page, I punched the large star on the background paper and then added a piece of orange cardstock to the back. I don't have a full sheet of orange behind the black, just in that spot. You could do this all around your page and use different colours to get a really cool effect!
Then using my circle punches I punched out the circles from the Kaiser Craft Rewind pattern paper - *just a quick note, if you have boys that love to play video games, or be crazy or do their own stunts kinda stuff, this paper line is GREAT, I got it from Scrapbook Fanatics* - this particular sheet of paper is FULL of these circles with tons of great sayings, numbers and symbols. I placed two of the circles on top of the large punched out stars, one of his age, the other for the date.
The smaller circles I punched out of more of that awesome Kaiser Craft paper, this sheet has borders, arrows, brackets and so on. Then using my smallest star, punched out orange stars and put them on top.
These pictures show my son playing his DS even though his hand got pretty crunched in the truck door. Seriously addicted to gaming! lol
